Founded in 1806, it became famous with its “Aqua Mirabillis”, later known as the Extra-Vielle by Jean Marie Farina. Members of the French aristocracy delighted in splashing this infamous scent; Napoleon Bonaparte had a custom made flask to carry his cologne in his boot. During Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee, Roger & Gallet was commissioned to make a special soap for her Royal Highness. In 2003, once more, Roger & Gallet received a commission to make a new fragrance for Queen Elizabeth II's Golden Jubilee.
Roger & Gallet created the round, triple-milled soap rich in essential oils and natural essences. These soaps are delightfully fragrant -- to pamper you every time you bathe. Beautifully decorated with silk paper, the round soap is the most elegant line of French soaps. A new generation of soaps and body lotions was introduced with the Gentle Nature line. This line of toiletries is hypoallergenic and is highly recommended for anyone that has very sensitive skin.
